Yu Sanke, male, born in Fufeng County of Shaanxi Province, China in 1957. Graduated in Veterinary Medicine, and got a Bachelor degree in Dec, 1981 in Northwest University of Agriculture. Jan.1982—Oct.1984, Assistant, worked in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, and during this period, studied English in Xi’an College of Foreign Languages for 4 months and in Foreign Language Center in Beijing Forestry University for 8 months. Oct.1984—June 1987, studied Immunoparasitology in the Institute of Parasitology, McGill University, Canada, and got Master Degree of Sciences. June 1987—now, worked in the Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, Lecture position in 1988; Associate Prof. In 1993; Prof. In1999. A deputy dean of the College for 10 year(from 1994—2004). Vice Editor of Journal of Progress in Veterinary Medicine; member of National Expert Committee for Animal Disease Control; member of Standing Committee of Chinese Veterinary Parasitology Association.
Teaching 5 courses for undergraduates: Veterinary Parasitology, Specialized English for Veterinary Students, Poultry Parasitology, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Quarantine. Teaching 5 courses for postgraduates: Progress in Preventional Veterinary Medicine, Advanced Veterinary Parasitology, Experimental Techniques for Veterinary Parasitology, Animal Epidemiology, Special Subjects in Preventive Veterinary Medicine, et al. Had 50 postgraduates. Got great successes in teaching work, and received top 10 Teaching Master title of the University in 2003. Engaged in grade 3 professor in 2008.
Worked in teaching management (vice dean of the College, member of Teaching Committee of the University) for 10 years. Took charge of 4 teaching reform items, and received 6 teaching-achievement awards, among them, one top grade of Provincial teaching-achievement award.
In scientific researches, took charge of or part in 13 scientific research programs. The main contributions are as followings: Immunology of Trichinella spiralis; chicken coccidiosis; swine epidemiology of Toxoplasmosis; diagnoses of schistosomiasis japonicum; animal ectoparasites; et al. Published over 80 scientific papers and 7 books.
